Meet
Nina Restieri, 42, mother of four from Old Green-
wich, Connecticut, and the creator of momAgenda, a
company that makes stylish day planners, home organiz-
ers, notepads, and more, all designed to help women
organize their broods’—and their own—daily lives.
Her big idea
“I created this line because I needed
products like this for my own life. I kept wondering why
there wasn’t a good day planner out there for moms,
especially moms with multiple kids. And I wanted
something stylish. The mom-focused planners that
did exist looked like things made for kids.”
Method mom
“I don’t have a lot of time to think about
fashion, so a couple times a year I put together about 50
complete outfits and snap pictures of them. I then print
them out and put them in a binder, and each morning I
decide what I’ll wear from bed. A stylist friend tipped me
off to this, and it’s been a huge timesaver.”
Her daily do-its
“Organization isn’t an innate skill; it’s
something most people, including me, have to really
work at. My schedule and my kids’ schedules are tightly
managed. They’re a choreographed dance.”
MomAgenda 2.0
“We recently replicated momAgenda in
digital form with a new iPad app. With it, you can input
your child’s info online, link it with your cell phone, and
even send text reminders.”
Her kids
“All four of them—Jamie, Matthew, Jenna, and
Andrew—are highly organized, and they all manage their
own school planners. I’ve trained them well!”
Her style
“I’m dangerous in a shoe store—I love pretty
heels so much that my husband once apologized to me
with a new pair of stilettos. We’ve been married 15 years,
and he knows me so well.”
